This programme is designed for those who love hiking in the high mountains but don't want to walk beyond the marked trails, yet don't want to take overcrowded trails were thousands of other tourists are walking. Together with the local tour guides and hosts, Øyvind and Tor Erik, we take day trips off the well-trodden trail. Grønolen Mountain Farm is well known for its tasty, home cooked meals. The hospitality is extraordinary and the hikes take you to fantastic places.

”Seven Summits” – 7 2000-meter peeks in two days!   The weekend Thursday 22 to Sunday 25. July 2010, we have a tour for those of you, who seek the more challenging tours. The tour goes in the Kalvehøgd-area and Store Knutsholstind, with one night in the DNT-Hut Torfinnsbu. You arrive at Grønolen Thursday evening for a delicious dinner, and after a good nights sleep, you are ready for the tour at Friday. On this hike, you must be very fit, and you must be able to walk for 10-12 hours.
Two nights at Grønolen and one in the DNT-hut Torfinnsbu.

Sunday
Arrival at Grønolen Moutain farm, 5 km from Beitostølen. Delicious dinner, coffee and dessert. After dinner, we talk about the program and give tips and advice for the trips.
 
Monday
The first tour takes us to the mountain Skaget, 1686 meters above sea level. This is a wonderful hike and a good way to start our holiday. 4 hrs.
Tuesday
The mountain of Knutshø, 1517 meters above sea level.  5-6 hrs  
Wednesday
A day of rest, to recharge ourselves for the hike on Thursday. We drive up to Valdreflya and hike across flatt and easy terrain to Store Nuten with a wonderful view of Jotunheimen, Rondane and the lake Vinstervatn with Bitihorn in the background. Then we walk to the mountain farm and enjoy sour cream porridge and cured meat. You spend the afternoon as you please!
Thursday.
The peak of "Rasletind", 2105 meters above sea level.  7-8 hours.   
Friday
Departure after a delicious breakfast. 

Stages: You start around 9.30 am and get back to the hotel around 5 pm.
You do not have to participate on all the hikes, you decide for yourself.
Fitnesslevel: You should be average fit, and be used to take medium to long walks in the mountains. There are a lot of steep climbs on these hikes.
Equipment: You need mountain boots and normal mountain gear: water and windproofs, extra set of clothes etc.
