1. PRICE: See description and price for each tour.
Trail description and maps of each tour / area. The trail description cannot be ordered separately.

2. WHEN TO TAKE THE TRIP.
The tours are for individuals.
The best time for biking in Norway is from middle of June to the middle of September. The autumn is a particularly nice time for cycling, natures’ colors are at their peak and vehicle traffic is minimal.
Rallarvegen has on some short distances snow even in the middle of the summer - best time for this tour is middle of July to middle of September.
Temperatures in Norway are usually around +10 - + 25ºC in the summer and usually nice weather for biking!
HOWEVER: the weather can also be very unstable and change quickly from warm, wonderful summer weather to cold wind and rain.

3. ACCOMMODATION / MEALS
Most of the bicycle-tours go through areas with a limited number of accommodation facilities. This means there will be a variation in the standard of the rooms/cabins. Some of the lodgings have communal bathrooms/showers/toilets in the corridor or basement.
None of the mountain pasture farms have electricity and indoor showers or WC - but it is very cozy and nice!
In Lofoten some of the accommodations are rorbuer (fishermans’ cabins) and you may have to share the rorbu with other cyclists from Norske Bygdeopplevelser as.
Be aware that some accommodation sites are only open for guests who have made advance reservations from our booking office. Remember to book in advance as most accommodation sites have limited capacity. The prices include mostly full board, (dinner, breakfast, lunch pack and thermos refill – bring your own thermos)

4. TRANSPORT
The price information and tour description specifies whether transport is included or not.
For those of you driving your own car (and would perhaps like to combine this with taking the train for part of the transport distance) there are several possibilities for free parking.

5. CHILDREN
Children under 15 years usually get 50% discount on all prices (in parents room), except Rallarvegen.

6. LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
The bicycle-tours vary in level of difficulty. Some tours involve very long day-trips, while others have schedules suitable for families with children.
See under each trip: the bikes will describe the level of difficulty and are based on the physical condition of an average cyclist:
1 bike: Easy trip for everybody, also for children from ca 6 years. 15 - 30 km each day.
2 bikes: Medium level for normal trained persons, 30 - 40 km each day.
3 bikes: The terrain is not very heavy, but it might be hard to sit on the bike fore so many days!
You must be in relatively good shape and be prepared for some hills along the way!

7. ROAD CONDITIONS
The trails follow to a large extent existing roads (mountain roads, forest roads, local roads etc.) with little vehicle traffic. You must be prepared for walking your bike for short distances on some parts of the trails.
