The mountain range between Valdres and Hallingdal features one of the countrys largest and most active mountain farm areas. You are cycling in the forecourt of Jotunheimen, with views to some of the two hundred peaks 2000 metres above sea level.  M/S Bitihorn, which plies northern Europes highest boat route, brings you across Lake Bygdin to Eidsbugarden. The trip continues down to Vangsmjøsa and Vang, later turning back up the mountains to a 'less demanding' area along mountain roads and trails. The roads on this mountain plateau lies between 850 and 1000 metres above sea level.  This tour starts and ends in Fagernes. The tour can be done between June 6th - September 6th.

Parking:  free in Fagernes.
Roads: mostly gravel roads, some asphalt between Fagernes and Bygdin, and day 6, the last distance before Fagernes.
Children: 0-3 years free (in parents bed), 3 -14 years 50% reduction (in parents room)

Day 1: Arrival Fagernes Airport Leirin or Fagernes by bus/car. Overnight Fagernes.
Parkingfacilities at Fagernes for persons driving. 
Day 2:  Cycling Fagernes - Beitostølen - 42 km. 
Average day-trip, where you follow RR 51, you may expect some traffic. Overnight Beitostølen.
Day 3: The day starts with a boat trip (approx. 2 hours from Bygdin to Eidsbugarden). 
Cycling from Eidsbugarden to Tyinkrysset - 23 km, rolling gravelled road in the beginning, but flat and easy at the end. It can be strenous if it's raining. Alternatively you can take the bus from Eidsbugarden to Tyin. The last stage is first on RR252, then RR 53 and lastly on E68 
towards Tyinkrysset where you spend the night.
Day 4: Cycling from Tyinkrysset to Syndin - 49 km. Strenous day-trip, with variable surfaces. The first stage is downhill to Øvre Dalen, then on to a quiet road to Nedre Dalen. At the end of the stage there is a steep climb on a winding, gravelled road to Vang. The stage ends up on a small tractor path that can be muddy and wet.
Day 5: Cycling from Synding to Vaset - 24 km. Easy day-trip with a few hills. You have the possibility of taking alternative routes to make the stage longer.
Day 6: Cycling from Vaset to Fagernes - 25 km. Easy day-trip where you follow the "Panorama-road" down towards Ulnes and Fagernes. At the end of the stage you are on bicyle paths along the RR 51.
