Experience the fjord coast north of Bergen, with its small and big adventures! A bike trip here by the sea certainly does something to you! After few days, you will experience how the silence becomes a part of you, you relax and are impressed by the nature around you – the sea, the light, the fjord, the mountains, the silence.
You bike from the outmost part of the fjords Sognefjord and Dalsfjord via Gulen, Sula, Bulandet, Værlandet and Askvold, on roads with little traffic. Bulandet and Værlandet are the societies located as far to the west you get in Norway. With all the islands, it is often called the “Venice of the North”. There are more than 450 people living on the islands. The road from Bulandet to Værlandet, also called “North sea gate”, is 6,7 km long, and six bridges connect the two fishing villages. The road got the “Beautiful roads award” in 2006. An unique geology, rich flora and fauna invites you to a hike. During this trip you can choose between shorter or longer day trips. There are a lot of exciting possibilities for detours.
