Gateway to Jotunheimen
This tour offers you some of Norway's most amazing mountain scenery: Gudbrandsdalen, Jotunheimen, Valdres and Hallingdal.The trip starts at Vinstra in Gudbrandsdalen and ends in Gol, Hallingdal. The mountain range between Valdres and Hallingdal features one of the country’s largest and most active mountain farm communities, with opportunities for a number of activities, such as farm visits, elk-safaris, horse-back riding, canoe paddling and swimming - it's you choice!
You are biking the gateway to Jotunheimen, with a spectacular view of over two hundred peaks towering 2000 metres above sea level. The ferryboat M/S Bitihorn, which claims the predicate 'Northern Europe’s highest boat route', takes you across Lake Bygdin to Eidsbugarden. The trip continues on foot down to Vangsmjøsa and Vang, later turning back up to the mountains to a 'less physically demanding' countryside along mountain roads and trails. The roads on this mountain plateau are located at a heigt of 850 to 1000 metres above sea level.
The tour can be done between July 4th - September 7th - on request.
