Dovre-hoved.JPG

This tour starts at Hjerkinn, which is situated in the heart of the Dovre Mountains, more than a thousand metres above sea level. From Hjerkinn on the trip leads down a pleasant valley towards Folldal, continuing further on down to Atndalsføret where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Rondane National Park. Across the mountain pass between Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen valleys you walk along the Friisveien, which is quite an adventure with its highest point 1100 metres above sea level. The trip continues southwards on pleasant roads across green and lush pastures, before reaching its final destination in the Olympic town Lillehammer. It may be a small town, but it can provide you with everything even the large cities can offer. The trip can be made between mid. June - mid. August.
